Let’s see, 10 years old…what was I doing at 10 years old?
Taking a Circle Line ferry tour up the Hudson River as far as West Point; going to the American Museum of Natural History to see the mummies and the dinosaurs and the whale hanging from the ceiling; hiking along the Palisades Cliffs trails from Fort Lee at the George Washington Bridge up to Alpine Overlook; going on the Diving Bell at Coney Island or the carousel at Rye Playland or the fun house at Asbury Park!
And being called a serial killer!
Oh, wait, that never happened to me. I was only 10 years old! So, why then, did that shameful thing happen to Barron Trump, the 10-year-old son of our President? Why do people feel the need to attack the First Family?
Well, in Barron’s case, I suspect that if my dad was a Republican Senator, or a Republican Representative, or just a Republican in general, I may have been a target.
Because, let’s face it…the ONLY reason Barron was cyber-bullied was because his father is a Republican.
Via Western Journalism:
“Saturday Night Live writer Katie Rich was suspended indefinitely after posting on her Twitter account that Trump ‘will be this country’s first homeschool shooter.‘ The message caused an uproar among social media, which prompted Rich to delete the tweet and deactivate her account.”
Rich is not a household name because…well because she works for Saturday Night Live. Let’s be real here, though…nobody has paid any attention to SNL since the 20th Century and Lorne Michaels has been breathing resuscitating elixirs into that cold corpse since the 1990s.
Perhaps Rich thought that she would get famous by picking on a 10-year-old. I’d say that history might be working against her in that regard.
But, guess who decided to stand up for young Barron?
“Former White House intern Monica Lewinsky has come to the defense of the president’s 10-year-old son, Barron Trump, after a controversial tweet equated him with being a potential killer.
Lewinsky responded to the incident by reposting a Bustle.com article on her Twitter account with the caption ‘all children need to be protected from bullying + mockery.‘
Lewinsky is no stranger to public harassment. After news of her affair with President Bill Clinton was made public, she became a victim of cyber-bullying and even contemplated suicide at one point.
‘Overnight, I went from being a completely private figure to a publicly humiliated one worldwide. Granted, it was before social media, but people could still comment online, email stories, and, of course, email cruel jokes. I was branded as a tramp, tart, slut, whore, bimbo, and, of course, ‘that woman,’ Lewinsky said in April.”
Even Chelsea Clinton got in on the action (no pun intended, Monica) when she decided to tweet a “fake” defense of the boy, but of course couldn’t resist insulting the man who made her mother cry on election night.
“Barron Trump deserves the chance every child does-to be a kid. Standing up for every kid also means opposing @POTUS policies that hurt kids.”
Night job, Chelsea, with the professionally political backhanded compliment. Looks like mommy dearest taught you well.
And by the way, don’t mess with the First Family…Melania will definitely have something to say, and you won’t like it, libs.
