Who is Hakeem Jeffries?
Well, ostensibly, he is a U.S. House of Representatives member, duly elected in Queens, NYC.
I say “ostensibly” because that is his title, but it is apparently not his job. I wasn’t aware that the Reverend Al Sharpton had a proxy in Congress.
Race-hustlers are deplorable no matter where you find them, but this guy goes beyond the pale.
“The congressman from New York was delivering a speech on the House floor Monday when he went on a rant about white supremacy and hate crimes being perpetuated by Trump’s presidency.
‘We’re wondering why were so many people who worship at the altar of white supremacy drawn to Donald Trump’s campaign?‘ Jeffries asked.
‘What was it about this individual that so many folks dripping in hatred flocked to his candidacy?’
Jeffries tried to qualify his statements but somehow ended up going even further left.
‘That’s not to say that every American who voted for Donald Trump is a racist,’ he asserted. ‘We do know that every racist in America voted for Donald Trump.‘”
I get it that the Democrats are desperate to repeat the Obama double-term phenomenon.
I even get it that he figures the best way for him to appeal to the masses is by bashing a president who happens to be quite popular.
But to suggest that you know that all racists in America voted for Donald Trump is just absurd.
Honestly, Jeffries, it’s really the equivalent of saying that I know that all New York City Democrats voted for Obama based on his skin color.
Is it true? Probably not. But if Jeffries has decided that he can read all racists’ minds in this country, why couldn’t I pretend, too, and say I can read all NYC Democrats’ minds?
Isn’t that only fair play?
P.S. I don’t like your tie, either.
