You know, this is probably why we can’t have a decent conversation on race without at least one party getting offended.
It would seem pretty straightforward to call out the horrific crime in Chicago involving four black individuals and one white victim who supported Donald Trump as a “hate crime,” based on the videotaped facts that emerged from the incident.
Did you see them? They’re insanely gross.
This is the crime where the suspects hurled racial slurs while attacking the victim, who also happened to be disabled, and also allegedly demanded he denounce Trump during his hours of kidnapped captivity. And then it was all posted to Facebook for the world to watch.
And yet, the first thing the liberals do is say, “no, it wasn’t a hate crime.”
As Louder With Crowder reports:
“Let’s do some math: [People from one race] + [person from other ace] + racial slurs + violence = hate crime. No? Because there’s actually some debate over whether to call that brutal Facebook livestream beating (see Four Arrested For Kidnapping, Torturing Special Needs White Man) as a hate crime.”
Yes indeed. And the confusion is actually coming from members of CNN’s media, most notably perhaps, Don Lemon.
During discussion of the incident, Lemon actually said this, Breitbart reported:
“[T]he broadcasted torture of a bound and gagged victim in Chicago was not ‘evil,’ adding that the suspects had ‘bad home training.'”
Oh, is that what we’re calling it these days?
Another woman during CNN panel discussion kept referring to the thugs who allegedly kidnapped and tortured the victim as “young people.”
Well, once again, this is why race discussions don’t end well, particularly on public television. If we can’t even agree that an act of violence and horror based on someone’s skin color and politics is actually an evil act of violence and horror, not to mention case-in-point hate crime, then there’s just no sense in entering the race-talk fray.
The only thing the Left wants to do is drive out the sensible, the logical, the rational, and instead fill airspace with the rotten rhetoric that advances an unsupported notion that all whites must be racist simply because of their whiteness.
