The axe fell yesterday, as you probably already know:
President Donald Trump canned FBI Director James Comey.
The ensuing fallout has been epic; some are arguing over whether or not Trump should’ve made this move, while others are preoccupied with Comey’s replacement. Who will it be?
Well, while Washington searches for an interim director, we already have an “acting director” and his name is Andrew McCabe.
Now, you might not recognize that name but in point of fact, he has some seriously questionable ties to one of the most dangerous political figures in the world.
And we mean that quite literally.
According to a Western Journalism report, McCabe has very strong ties to one major Clinton ally: Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe.
“Prior to his promotion to deputy FBI director under Comey, McCabe’s wife, Jill, accepted $467,500 from the Virginia governor’s political action committee to support her 2015 state Senate race.
The Virginia Democratic Party also donated over $200,000 to Jill McCabe’s campaign.
McCabe was involved in the FBI’s investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server during her tenure as secretary of state when it was discovered his wife was financially supported by a Clinton ally.
The discovery led to inquiries McCabe should have recused himself from the email investigation due to his family ties to the Clinton’s.”
At the time, then-presidential nominee Donald Trump Tweeted:
‘Clinton Ally Aided Campaign of FBI Official’s Wife’ https://t.co/U0w99gfyKE

Furthermore, the RNC Chairman at the time, Reince Priebus, said McAuliffe’s donation to McCabe’s wife was basically a “down payment” that was supposed to influence the FBI’s investigation.
As we now know, the Justice Department has been investigating Hillary Clinton and in a recent climax, a judge ordered that she reveal ALL the emails in question.
As for McCabe, one has to wonder how much power he can wield as an “acting director” but even so, there are raised eyebrows and plenty of whispers circulating around Washington right now.
