Never let it be said that Michael Moore, noted Hollywood documentarian – whose work has been criticized by the right as near-propaganda – is free of drama.
In fact, he couldn’t have gone more drama queen in his recent assessment of the Donald Trump election.
It’s true, Moore’s not a Trump fan. But did he really have to go this far out in the Twilight Zone to get his feelings across?
In a Facebook post, Moore criticized Trump for failing to attend some of his daily intelligence briefings – something, it should be noted, that President Obama himself was guilty of avoiding, only while serving as commander-in-chief. Remember: Trump’s not even in the White House, yet.
But that small fact didn’t stop Moore from writing this:
“Most would agree the #1 job of the leader of any country is to keep its people safe. that Trump would find it too cumbersome or too annoying to have to sit through 20 minutes of listening to his top intelligence people tell him who’s trying to kill us today simply boggles the mind.”
The title of Moore’s post?
“Donald Trump Is Gonna Get Us Killed,” as Breitbart noted.
Trump, for his part, said the intelligence in reports rarely changes, and he doesn’t feel the need to be “told the same thing in the same words every single day for the next eight years,” he said, during a Fox News Sunday interview with Chris Wallace.
For whatever reason, Michael Moore labors under the delusion that Americans care what he thinks. A second-rate – no, scratch that; third-rate – director who has relentlessly bashed America for years without ever once showing he has the first damn clue about how a country should be run…?
We’re listening to this mess? Why?
