Despite all the leftist-inspired alarmism about President Donald Trump’s executive order on immigration common sense still exists:
The order is aimed at protecting America.
This whole “I hate Trump because he’s a discriminatory pig” mantra that’s being circulated among far lefties is aimed at blinding the rest of the American public to one thing: the common sense beauty of the executive order.
And what is that?
Well, this order actually looks at the reality of terrorism, and takes action that truly works.
And by the way, other countries with open-border policies have been screaming about the problems; most recently, a Swedish detective dropped a brutal Muslim immigrant truth bomb on the world.
Now, here’s a first-hand witness account of just why Trump’s order is not only lawful, but necessary.
A letter-writer to the Chicago Tribune named Mary Doetsch said she supported Trump’s order because she spent 25 years working for the Department of State, eight of which was as a refugee coordinator for the Middle East, Africa, Russia and Cuba.
And her conclusion? The system if rife with corruption and deception.
“I have seen first-hand the abuses and fraud that permeate the refugee program and know about the entrenched interests that fight every effort to implement much-needed reform.
Despite claims of enhanced vetting, the reality is that it is virtually impossible to vet an individual who has no type of an official record, particularly in countries compromised by terrorism. U.S. immigration officials simply rely on the person’s often rehearsed and fabricated ‘testimony.’ I have personally seen this on hundreds of occasions,” she wrote, in the Chicago Tribune.
Those rehearsed lines and false testimonies would often lead to the United States accepting refugees with questionable backgrounds, she continued.
“As an insider who understands its operations, politics and weaknesses, I believe the refugee program must change dramatically and the courts must allow the president to fully implement the order,” Doetsch finished.
Well, well, a voice of reason among the pages of one of America’s most liberal newspapers. That’s refreshing.
Know what else it is? Enlightening.
Here’s a woman who worked for 25 years on the deep insides of government, eight directly in the refugee department, and her conclusion, after dealing directly with hundreds of potential migrants to the United States was blunt: the program needs reform.
And why does it need reform?
As she argues, the program as is compromises the safety and security of American citizens. Our country needs to come FIRST; just ask Japan about protecting their citizens because they seem to get it.
And that, folks, is what Trump’s order is all about: preserving Americans’ safety. The courts ought to listen.
No, they NEED to listen.
