You know, it isn’t enough that he lost billions of taxpayer money over the years.
He also has to be, as one judge just proclaimed, corrupt and unethical. Or rather, the DOJ (Department of Justice) is corrupt and unethical, which isn’t that much different.
This wasn’t just a judge…he was a hanging judge…and he pronounced the entire DOJ corrupt and unethical!
US District Court Judge Andrew Hanen had a full year of run-ins with the Department of Justice over their continued lying, obfuscating, delaying, and outright disregarding court orders to end their implementation of the DAPA and DACA programs without proper oversight.
These run-ins occurred in the months of May and July of 2016, culminating in a shocking order of judgment against the attorneys employed by the Department of Justice.
Here are just a few of the judge’s comments regarding the despicable behavior of Loretta Lynch’s department:
“[Their] conduct is certainly not worthy of any department whose name includes the word ‘Justice’.” He added, “Suffice it to say, the citizens of all fifty states, their counsel, the affected aliens and the judiciary all deserve better.” He opined that the DOJ “purports to represent all Americans—not just those who are in favor of whatever actions the Department is seeking to prosecute or defend. The end result never justifies misconduct.
[The DOJ] has now admitted making statements that clearly did not match the facts. It has admitted that the lawyers who made these statements had knowledge of the truth when they made these misstatements.”
Hanen called the government’s conduct “intentionally deceptive” and ordered U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch to file a comprehensive plan “to prevent this unethical conduct from ever occurring again.”
He added, Lynch must make sure that “Justice Department trial lawyers tell the truth—the entire truth.” He also barred the DOJ lawyers who had appeared in the case from ever appearing before his court again.
“[The] Court is shocked and surprised at the cavalier attitude the Government has taken with regards to its ‘efforts’ to rectify this situation.”
[He] was very clear in saying that their behavior in the case had been “nothing short of stunning,” and added, “This is clearly no way to run the nation’s law firm.”
Stern words issued about an overly zealous Obama-led ideal that the executive fiat rose above in stature every other law of the nation. Hope he had fun with his endless midnight regulations, ‘cuz he’ll never get a chance to do anything unethical again.
This should be a lesson to all students of Leftism: The ends don’t justify the means.
