President Donald Trump is putting America’s security first.
He is also prioritizing American jobs; hence, the executive order on Friday that slashed government regulations and revitalized ailing businesses, suffering under the yoke of the failed Obama administration.
In regards to this country’s safety, Trump is willing to spend the bucks, while making cuts in other areas (thankfully).
This, on top of the “phenomenal tax cuts” the president already promised Americans, so not only will we be saving money, we’re going to be a LOT safer as well.
Remember what it was like to feel SAFE, fellow Patriots? If not, Trump would like to remind us all of that feeling.
This just in, courtesy of Fox News:
“President Trump plans to seek what he’s calling a ‘historic’ $54 billion increase in defense spending, while pursuing cuts elsewhere in the federal government, as part of his upcoming budget plan.
White House budget officials announced the proposed military spending boost Monday morning, saying the president will seek a commensurate reduction in spending across other federal agencies. Minutes later, Trump previewed the move while addressing the nation’s governors at the White House.
‘This budget will be a public safety and national security budget,’ Trump said. He said the plan would include a ‘historic increase in defense spending to rebuild the depleted military.’”
Trump added: “We’ve got to win or don’t fight it at all.”
The proposal for the 2018 budget year comes just before Trump’s first address to a Joint Session of Congress. Additionally, the cuts in question will NOT make significant changes to Social Security or Medicare.
The Pentagon could definitely use this boost, though other nondefense agencies and foreign aid programs will face big cuts. Yeah, well, we really need to focus on securing our country right now, wouldn’t you agree?
Our new leader is only interested in people who love this country, and he will defend the nation against those who don’t love it. Plain and simple.
As for the budget, the President is expected to release his final proposal in only a few weeks. Can’t wait!
