We all need a good laugh at the end of a tough year, right?
And who better to supply that great big belly laugh than Rush Limbaugh?
With 25 days left until the Right gets its REAL Christmas present (Obama is out, Trump is in) the Doctor of Democracy, Limbaugh, bestows upon us two retro-classics, “Baracka Claus is Coming to Town” and “Walking in a Welfare Wonderland“!
These winter favorites ring with the true spirit of a Leftist holiday with lines like:
“You better not work, you better not try,
Get your hand out, I’m telling you why,
Baracka Claus is coming to town…
If you’re a success, I’m taxin’ you twice,
Gonna reverse who’s naughty and nice,
Baracka Claus is coming to town…”
Or how about this festive carol:
Here to stay
Is your enjoyment
I did it because
Of capitalism’s flaws
Walkin’ in my Welfare Wonderland
With sincere apologies to John Frederick Coots and Haven Gillespie (who wrote “Santa Claus is Coming to Town” in 1932) and Felix Bernard (music) and Richard B. Smith (lyricist) (who wrote “Winter Wonderland” in 1934), it is only appropriate that these two Rush revivals come to us at this time of year, especially in light of the fact that we are in need of a little bit of levity.
Because of new environmental regulations, poor old Santa Claus was hit with a massive fine for carting around a metric ton’s worth of presents for the president. He was issued a citation for contributing a huge carbon footprint at his headquarters in the North Pole. What was Obama’s surprise?
Something only a Progressive truly deserves: Coal.
Yeah, we can say that again, remember?
