Nancy Pelosi Blames Republicans For ‘Political Destruction,’ Then Fox News Sets Her Straight

It was a Republican that begged America to come together after the terrifying Virginia shooting.

It was a radical Leftist who called for the “ultimate punishment” for President Donald Trump and other members of his team.

Throughout the country, week after week, we see more examples of liberal insanity reaching a boiling point, from Antifa thugs attacking peaceful assemblies to crushing freedom of speech on college campuses.

And yet, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi continues to blame the wrong side.

Though she stood beside Speaker Paul Ryan and made an impassioned plea for unity, she couldn’t help but blame Right-Wing individuals for the Virginia incident.

Via Independent Journal Review:

During Pelosi’s Thursday morning press conference, she accused Republicans of, in effect, inventing ‘politics of personal destruction’:

‘Somewhere in the ’90s, Republicans decided on a politics of personal destruction as they went after the Clintons, and that is the provenance of it, and that is what has continued.’

But Fox News host Greg Gutfeld called out “Nancy Pants” and then alerted her to the obvious facts:

Sorry, lady, the ‘politics of destruction’ started way before that. And it’s back for one reason: the attacks on discourse.

If you shut down discourse, there’s no stopgap between rage and violence. Discourse keeps us from killing each other.

Gutfeld then rattled off a list of questions that no Democrat wants to answer:

  • “Are conservatives the ones shouting people down on campus?”
  • “Are conservatives blockading offices and physically attacking speakers?”
  • “Are conservatives rioting after elections?”
  • “Are conservatives harassing professors for calling out racism?”
  • “Are conservatives stabbing police horses?”
  • “Are they throwing urine on young women?”

Gutfeld finished by saying what everyone in America has known since President Trump was elected:

This attack on discourse isn’t a right-wing thing — it’s a left-wing thing.

Exactly correct. Want a reason for this unwarranted and utterly despicable behavior, liberals? Look in the mirror.
