Nancy Pelosi just delivered what sounded like an attempt at a sermon.
Like most of Pelosi’s ultra-bizarre speeches lately, it was…weird.
In order to bolster her argument, she invoked the comments of the Pope and supposedly those of evangelical leaders, something she assiduously avoids when discussing matters such as abortion and same-sex marriage.
Pelosi was speaking after Trump’s controversial decision to drop out of the Paris Climate Agreement, a move that has ticked off liberals and everyone who buys into the comical global warming myth.
Believe it or not, Pelosi strayed into the religious realm and mysteriously declared that what President Trump did dishonored God.
Oh yes, she said it.
“Pelosi said, ‘This is a matter of environmental justice. Lower income and minority families are disproportionately vulnerable to the ravages of the climate crisis.
It’s a civil rights issue. And we have a moral responsibility in addition to the national security, the economy and the health of our children. We have a moral responsibility.
We must leave future generations with a healthy, sustainable planet. Faith leaders, starting with the Holiness Pope Francis, to the evangelical community, have urged us to be responsible stewards of the beauty of God’s creation.'”
This is typical Pelosi, only using complete sentences.
She makes no effort to define her terms such as “environmental justice,” nor does she explain why minorities are more susceptible to the alleged climate change crisis than non-minorities.
She quotes the Pope on this issue, but she’d run the other direction were she asked to discuss his views on abortion.
“To ignore those needs is to dishonor the God who made us and that is what we are doing by walking away from this accord.“
To which we are supposed to reply, “Amen.”
But seriously, what the hell is going on? Liberals laugh at anybody who’s religious but invoke the name of God when they want to make a point?
Oh right, I forgot…Liberal, Hypocrisy is thy name.
