It seems there is no end to the petulance of the child known as Barack Obama.
So dismissive of the greatness that is America, our president was much more comfortable telling Europeans that we are a nation of bigots and racists. So divisive of a figure to lead America, our president was much more insistent telling the adoring press that our police officers “act stupidly”.
In order to punish America just a bit more than normal (considering they rejected His Highness’ agenda entirely) Obama decided to take another shot across our bow in the waning days before Christmas.
Showing his deep disdain for anything American, Obama took aim at the Muslim registry program designed to track immigrants from predominantly Middle Eastern countries after 9/11 and directed the Department of Homeland Security to officially end the effort.
Considering rumors abounded that Trump’s incoming administration was going to put a priority on its implementation, Obama acted quickly in retaliation.
From Fox News:
The Obama administration announced Thursday it is formally scrapping a once-mandatory registry for immigrant men from predominantly Muslim countries…
…[Although the] Obama administration suspended the program in 2011, the Department of Homeland Security put out a notice Thursday officially removing what it called “outdated regulations” pertaining to the “obsolete” system.
The gist of the matter was that Obama felt this program was already being implemented in other more effective ways and it was no longer needed. So, let’s take a quick walk down memory lane to see how effective this “other” program was that was already in operation:
Between the years 2011 (when Obama first stopped using the registry) to the present, there were 48 terror attacks on US soil. In those attacks, there were 191 people killed and 592 people injured (including the Boston Marathon bombing and the Orlando gay nightclub shootings). At the time that Obama halted the registry in 2011, there were over 80K people on that list.
Question: When the program was halted, did the Administration make those names disappear?
Sounds like this “other” program that was in place was as effective at protecting people as Obamacare was at providing quality healthcare.
