Like the dead from the above-ground cemeteries surfacing in Lake Pontchartrain each time the floods arrive in New Orleans, braindead celebrities issue idiotic statements in the wake of tragedy.
Remember Alyssa Milano talking about how we need to treat ISIS soldiers with more respect?
Sometimes, it doesn’t even take a tragedy to bring out the dumb.
How about this gem from Lena Dunham, “Now, I can say that I still haven’t had an abortion, but I wish I had.”
Then comes the horrific Manchester bombing (59 dead, 20 of which were children) and another celebrity steps up and enrages everyone, especially the victims’ families.
Spoiled brat pop star Katy Perry offered this: “No barriers, no borders, we all just need to co-exist.”
But one former Army Ranger wasn’t going to let her get away with it.
“…[V]eteran Army Ranger Sean Parnell, who appeared on Thursday’s ‘Fox and Friends,’ [remarked]:
“It’s really easy to say ‘co-exist’ and advocate for open borders when you live in a gated compound surrounded by armed guards and security every day.
They basically live in a bullet-proof bubble. The biggest decision that Katy Perry makes everyday is whether she’s going to wear blue or gold eye shadow.
She is completely out of touch with the lives of ordinary Americans and the threats we face every day, and she’s furthermore completely out of touch with what it means and what it takes to defend our freedom in this country. […]
Candlelight vigils are useless without an action step — a proactive action step that goes after ISIS where they live, in their home countries, targets them, and kills them.
Our enemy was willing to kill us to prevent us from giving food and crayons to children.”

Parnell added that “evil cannot coexist with the good and peace-loving people of the world” and it’s our responsibility to “stamp it out.”
And by the way, that’s exactly what the U.S. and its allies have been doing throughout 2017; the Trump administration knows there’s only ONE way to deal with this problem.
Getting back to Perry, she should just take her mounds of unwarranted money and stay quiet.
Once celebrities used to understand their role as entertainers and not politicians or great thinkers; they never thought of themselves as ambassadors or politicians.
When your life is a song lyric or a movie script, I guess it’s difficult to have an original thought in your head.
