President Trump Sneaks Up Behind Marine…5 Seconds Later, He’s An Internet SENSATION

I can still remember the long waits in the rain, snow, sunshine, and the darkness at the position of attention in formation.

The backs of the knees and calves begin to ache first. Then the back muscles tense and begin to spasm. Finally, you feel almost as if your feet have left your body.

“Platoon! Parade Rest!”

Oh, thank God, you think to yourself.

In the armed forces, standing for many hours at a time in place can be somewhat fatiguing. For some, it’s downright debilitating.

Trump, president of the common man, has come to recognize these things about the men and women of the military who serve him.

He has not only FULLY enabled the U.S. military to finally combat this nation’s enemies, he also has great respect for those in the armed services.

In a rare moment, our commander-in-chief was captured doing something that presidents don’t normally do.

Independent Journal Review:

“After a meeting with Argentine President Mauricio Macri and his wife, Juliana Awada, President Trump escorted the couple out of the White House.

But it’s what Trump did to the Marine at his post outside the door that has people talking.

According to the Daily Mail:

The Marine had just opened the limousine doors as Argentine President Mauricio Macri and his wife Juliana Awada, said goodbye to the White House on Thursday.

It was at this point that Trump turned toward the Marine saluting outside the front door and patted him on the back.

The Marine didn’t react to Trump’s gesture, and there’s a good reason for that. According to MARSOC operator Sean Conner, whose brother served at Camp David on the presidential detail:

This is an absolute break with protocol, but for what it’s worth, this is one of the most genuinely touching things that a man of President Trump’s station can do.

Trump is burdened with the power of sending these men and women off to distant battlefields and they will not all return home as they left.

This gesture is, for me as a veteran, the greatest “thank you” a person can receive.

Remember when Trump personally bestowed a Purple Heart on a wounded veteran? This is the kind of thing you’d never see Obama doing, that’s for damn sure.
