Trump’s Administration is a lot like those stereograms that were popular some years ago.
You remember the ones, where you had to slightly cross your eyes in order to see the 3D image…?
The problem with them, though, was the fact that some people could see the hidden images and some people could not. No amount of “teaching” or “training” could allow those who were blind to the images to be able to see them.
The American voter is of the variety of people who are able to see these hidden images. They look past all the colors, lines, images and distractions (in essence, the political correctness, fake news, fake polls, and spin) and are rewarded with the hidden treasure.
Democrats, on the other hand, are of the variety of people who cannot see the hidden images.
They can’t look past all the obstacles and be rewarded with the hidden treasure (i.e., the truth). They languish in a perpetual state of denial, unable to accept the reality that they are not, in fact, the majority. It is a bitter pill to swallow.
Well, now the full image is on display and it’s even more ambitious than what was first imagined. Trump is on a roll, signing orders that go after the insanely out-of-control EPA, as well as supporting the controversial Dakota pipeline.
And the American people have responded.
“Today, President Trump made good on his campaign promise to withdraw the United States from the Trans-Pacific Partnership. With this decision, the president has taken the first step toward fixing 30 years of bad trade policies that have cost working Americans millions of good-paying jobs.
‘The Teamsters Union has been on the frontline of the fight to stop destructive trade deals like the TPP, China PNTR, CAFTA and NAFTA for decades. Millions of working men and women saw their jobs leave the country as free trade policies undermined our manufacturing industry. We hope that President Trump’s meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto on Jan. 31 opens a real dialogue about fixing the flawed NAFTA.
We take this development as a positive sign that President Trump will continue to fulfill his campaign promises in regard to trade policy reform and instruct the USTR to negotiate future agreements that protect American workers and industry.’”
Yes, you read that correctly.
The Teamsters Union has given up on the Democrats to fix all the lousy trade deals that America has been mired in over the past 30 years and has decided to put its hope and trust in Donald Trump.
The hidden image has become crystal clear. All along throughout this campaign, Trump and his team have been striving not just to take what was traditionally Republican territory, but also to slice into what was historically Democrat territory.
“’This is a group that I know well,’ Trump said referring to the union bosses, adding ‘we’re going to put a lot of people back to work’ and ‘stop the ridiculous trade deals.’
When Trump said the administration ‘just officially terminated TPP,’ it prompted applause from the labor chiefs (and this time it certainly wasn’t by paid members of the studio audience), who later described their meeting with Trump as ‘incredible.’
Trump also added that he doesn’t blame former President Obama for decades of bad trade deals, which – at least mathematically – makes sense.
But even more notable, was the dramatic pivot by the US labor unions, historically stalwart democrat supporters, who have suddenly emerged as big supporters of Trump policies, and perhaps no one more so than AFL-CIO President Rich Trumka who said TPP withdrawal is ‘a good first step toward building trade policies that benefit workers.’
As a reminder, nearly all major unions endorsed Trump’s rival, Hillary Clinton, during the presidential election campaign: they now appear to be shifting their allegiance.”
This is not a trick or a sleight of hand. This is the real deal. And, much like the fantastic Ford announcement, American workers have yet another reason to cheer.
Trump has successfully managed to instill something inside the hearts of these union leaders that has not resided there for a very long time: HOPE. He is the president for all of the people.
Even Madonna and Bill Kristol.
