President Trump Pays A Visit To Wounded Veterans, Then Changes This Hero’s Life Forever

John Kerry was said to have won three Purple Hearts for his multiple wounds suffered in Vietnam.

Either he was very unlucky, or very clumsy. Most Purple Heart winners that I’ve known never mentioned the fact until I saw them in their uniforms on Veterans Day.

Regardless, one of the most important roles that a president has to play is that of Commander-In-Chief. He must respect and love our injured heroes.

See, many young people don’t realize that the Commander-In-Chief is not just commander of healthcare, or welcoming illegals, or confiscating your guns.

No, the Commander-In-Chief is as important to the men and women who serve our country as to the liberties they help preserve on our behalves. This is why President Donald Trump is such a godsend for the U.S. military.

With the tensions rising between the U.S. and North Korea, there is not a more significant moment for our Commander-In-Chief to spend personal time with the troops.

Independent Journal Review:

On Saturday morning, President Trump announced that he would be making his first visit to Walter Reed:

But when he got there, it became apparent that a ‘visit’ wasn’t all he had planned — he had an award to present to Sergeant First Class Alvaro Barrientos.

NPR reported:

Barrientos was wounded in Afghanistan on March 17 and had to have his right leg amputated below the knee, according to The Associated Press. He was accompanied at the ceremony by his wife, Tammi. First Lady Melania Trump was also in attendance.

The Purple Heart is awarded to service members killed or wounded in action.

According to pool reports, Trump kept his remarks brief. “When I heard about this I wanted to do it myself. So congratulations,” Trump said. “Tremendous.”

We here at Red, White & Right are extremely proud of our service members and veterans who have bravely and meritoriously served under our unwavering flag!

And clearly, they too are happy that someone like Trump is in charge. Why? He not only respects our veterans, he wants to GET THINGS DONE.

Congratulations and thank you to Sergeant Alvaro Barrientos!  Hu-Ahh!  Go Army!
