President Donald Trump has made plenty of big strides since his inauguration in January.
This includes multiple steps taken to combat illegal immigration, one of the biggest issues our country faces today.
And that’s really just the tip of the iceberg.
He has also juiced up the stock markets, voiced his endless support of our brave men and women in uniform, and has hit America’s enemies with a record-setting amount of power.
All of that is pretty sexy; such moves make for great headlines.
However, perhaps his most important contribution to the country has been somewhat overlooked, or at least overshadowed.
Heading into this administration, Trump knew he had to erase a lot of what Barack Obama did, and he also had to slash our severely bloated government. This led to an historic assault on government regulations.
“The push to block, rewrite and delay scores of Obama-era rules may be the [Trump] administration’s biggest untold success.”
Ironically, Politico is a source that has routinely questioned and even trashed our president but in this particular instance, it appears they’re whistling a different tune.
Andrew Restuccia and Nancy Cook now apparently agree that Trump’s bold executive orders qualify as “a series of actions that could reshape American life for decades.” And they add:
STORY CONTINUES BELOW…
“Trump is … setting bureaucratic wheels in motion that could eventually ax or revise hundreds of regulations as agencies reorient themselves toward unwinding red tape and granting speedier approvals to projects.
If successful, these efforts could represent the most far-reaching rollback of federal regulations since Ronald Reagan’s presidency, especially if Trump’s proposed budget cuts make it hard for a future Democratic president to reaccelerate the rule-making apparatus.”
And it’s this kind of dramatic overhaul we desperately need.
