Everyone with a brain knows this was inevitable.
San Francisco, one of liberals’ great ground zero cities, has been steadily growing its reputation as a case-in-point example of how damaging Democratic policies can be.
Of course, that’s not the view of San Franciscan leftists, who see their city as some great savior of the human race – a mecca for those seeking enlightenment and an example of shining civil rights governance for the rest of the world.
But here’s the reality: the city’s negatives are spinning out of control.
From Fox News:
“After 20 years of envelope-pushing changes to grow government and ease law enforcement, the once-shining City by the Bay has turned into a place where property crime runs amok, an online map is needed to track human feces on city streets, discarded syringes are common sightings.”
But wait; there’s more. And yeah, things are getting pretty sick over there in San Fran-SICKO:
“Public urination is so widespread it has damaged subway elevators and escalators, building walls and power poles,” Fox News continued.
The city used to be a place of beauty – an attractive hotspot for tourists and those seeking a cultural experience as a counterpoint to sunny California beaches. Even when hippies and drugs overran the city in the 60s, America’s elite still found cause to visit and relax among the picturesque landscapes.
San Francisco’s known more for its sanctuary city policies, and the place that gave nationwide voice to Donald Trump’s campaign because he was one of the only candidates to focus on the plight of Kate Steinle, the woman who was killed on a city pier in broad daylight by a previously deported illegal taking advantage of the local government’s open arm embrace of undocumented immigrants.
This is what’s left of the city’s reputation, as put forth by Fox News:
“‘With a crime rate of 70 per one thousand residents, San Francisco has one of the highest crime rates in America compared to all communities of all sizes,’ says the data collection site Neighborhood Scout. ‘One’s chance of becoming a victim of either violent or property crime here is one in 14. Within California, more than 98% of the communities have a lower crime rate than San Francisco.'”
Oh, that’s just great. Another project of progressivism, going the same direction they all do…southward, right down the tube.
