Many people are not aware that there were sanctuary cities mentioned in The Bible.
In fact, there were six cities that were located in Israel, three on one side of the country and three on the other. They were meant as safe harbors for those who committed unintentional murders. If one reached a sanctuary city before being captured, they were considered not guilty.
Of course, in the United States, sanctuary cities have a much different purpose.
And here’s a bit of a shocker for you: The US has 200 sanctuary cities in 32 States! Now, you wouldn’t know that if you based your sparse knowledge of sanctuary cities on the mainstream media.
Most of the sanctuary cities in the US are located in New York, California, Colorado, Michigan, Washington, Oregon, and Washington, D.C., and are doing so in direct violation of federal law. A Donald Trump presidency is now throwing a whole new set of obstacles in the path of those States and their mayors and governors who advocate for illegals.
And we know Trump’s stance on this:
Now, via Fox News:
“Texas GOP Rep. John Culberson says federal law prohibits local and state law enforcement from refusing to share immigration status information with federal authorities. He believes the law will give Trump the power to follow through in denying funds to sanctuary cities such as Los Angeles, Chicago and New York.
“The president can cut off their money at noon on January 20, 2017 if they do not change their sanctuary policy and hand over criminal illegal aliens in their custody to be deported.”
US border agents have been raising the red flag, warning of the increasing numbers of illegals pouring over the border for years.
Only recently, with the impending possibility of a wall and enforced deportations, have the numbers been rapidly elevating, especially in light of the Obama Administration advising in public service announcements to illegals that they should seek asylum based on “credible fear” should they return home.
One one horrifying number for Americans:
– Care for illegal immigrant children is costing the American taxpayer an additional $5M per month
P.S. That figure doesn’t include all available social services for which we’re also picking up the tab. God Bless America…I mean, Dios Bendiga America!
