The Secret Service isn’t really “secret” at all, but it is an integral part of the president and his administration.
After all, if it wasn’t for those brave men and women (and let’s be honest, not many are qualified to perform the daily duties of this highly stressful job) Trump and his entourage would never be able to set foot outside the White House.
It’s not an easy job. And it’s scary when you hear a former agent say Trump isn’t safe at all, that the Secret Service isn’t fully prepared to defend him.
It certainly doesn’t help if you have a staff that seems reluctant to defend the leader of the free world.
You may recall the firestorm that erupted at the end of January, when a certain Secret Service agent wrote on Facebook that she “wouldn’t take a bullet” for the president.
Unsurprisingly, millions immediately called for her dismissal, even though Washington never moves that fast for ANY reason. No, agent Kerry O’Grady was only placed on administrative leave.
Now, the latest: While she has finally been “permanently removed” from the Secret Service, there’s still a problem…
“The Secret Service will permanently remove a top special agent from her position after an investigation into her Facebook comments that she would rather not defend President Trump or take “a bullet” for him, but some agents are concerned she will simply be transferred to another government job.
About two weeks ago, the Secret Service placed the agent’s prior post — the special agent in charge of the Denver District, the top job in that office — on a list of agency openings, according to two Secret Service sources.
Kerry O’Grady, the agent in question, is on administrative leave amid an internal Secret Service investigation into her Facebook comments about Trump.
Current and former Secret Service agents and officers are worried that top officials at the agency are working to shield O’Grady from being fired.
They are worried that she will be transferred to another division of the Homeland Security Department and allowed to serve out her time until she can retire with a pension as the agency has done with other officials in the public crosshairs.”
This is a woman so enamored of the Women’s March on Washington that she updated her profile picture on Facebook on Inauguration Day to show a depiction of Princess Leia and the words, “A woman’s place is in the resistance.”
Remember the Women’s March? The one with a leader who had ties to the terrorist organization Hamas? Yeah, that one.
As you may already be aware, the word “resistance” has been the key buzzword for all things anti-Trump, used by such Liberal Luminaries as the Reverend Al Sharpton, Rachel Maddow, Keith Olbermann, Barack & Michelle Obama, and Madonna.
This woman would clearly be a danger in the presence of Trump, rather than a safety net. Clearly, this job requires humility, courage, and selflessness, none of which O’Grady displays.
She needs to go.
