The city of Chicago wants $1.5 billion so they can build one giant homage to our former president, Barack Obama.
This guy doesn’t deserve another penny, that’s for damn sure. Not after everything we’re discovering about this so-called commander-in-chief.
His questionable past (is anybody surprised that he has ALWAYS seen everything in terms of race and political correctness?) led to an even more questionable presidency, and now we’re trying to clean up the mess.
We’re convinced that Obama’s incompetence and malfeasance left us with a FAR more dangerous world, right? Well, we’re not the only ones convinced of that fact.
Now, that very observation has come from a former member of his team.
Finding an Obama foreign policy success is an excruciatingly difficult project; their scarcity during his eight years renders the pursuit of success almost pointless.
Foreign policy failures often create dangers that didn’t exist before the attempt, too. So, when one of Obama’s former senior officials says the ex-president left us with a more dangerous world, we should listen.
Barry Pavel was President Obama’s “senior director for defense policy and strategy on the U.S. National Security Council staff from 2008 to 2010.” Hence, he was in a position to know Obama’s foreign policy intimately.
“In Syria, a major mistake was treating it like a humanitarian crisis, when it was a major national security crisis that has caused destabilization on our closest allies in Europe.
Syria has been a source of terrorist attacks in Europe and the United States, and future attacks. I worry about that very much.“
We’ve been wondering if Hillary Clinton might figure into this…and we were not disappointed.
STORY CONTINUES BELOW…
“Pavel agrees with critics of Obama’s foreign policy, including the repercussions from his infamous ‘red-line threat’ against Syria’s use of chemical weapons — which he said taught adversaries that Obama ‘would never use military force for any purpose.'”
Continuing: “Those adversaries included Russia, with which then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s ‘reset-button diplomacy’ didn’t turn out as envisioned by the Obama administration.“
There’s Hillary turning up in yet another foreign policy fiasco. You are thankful she’s not now implementing similar police as president, right?
“Because they knew that the Obama administration would never use military force for any purpose, they felt free to conduct their coercive actions in the South China Seas, the Russians went into Iran and Syria and North Korea accelerated their nuclear arms program.”
Perhaps Mr. Pavel has a conscience, and does not want to be identified with the disasters that could eventuate from Mr. Obama’s incompetent and derelict foreign policy.
In any event, his comments are a breath of fresh air. And isn’t it interesting how many of Obama’s staffers are suddenly willing to turn on their former boss…?
