Let’s take a look back at what former President Barack Obama did during his term.
There was good and bad…mostly bad. And for a reminder of just HOW bad things really were, we revisit one particularly horrendous failure on the part of Obama, which almost undoubtedly resulted in American deaths.
This is worse than the train-wreck that is Obamacare, worse even than the former Commander-in-Chief’s so-called unifying efforts that only resulted in further divisiveness and less overall progress.
This is one of those things that just makes you nausous.
As reported by PJ Media earlier this year, there was powerful evidence that indicated the U.S. had several rescue teams standing at the ready during the 2012 Benghazi attacks. However, someone – yeah, someone – stopped the teams from moving forward. This from Emmy Award-winning journalist Sharyl Attkisson, who spoke with a Green Beret comander aout the incidient.
In point of fact, special forces were actually already on their way, and they were called back. As part of Attkisson’s special two-part report, “Rescue Interrupted,” the American people learned the measure of Obama’s resolve.
Which is to say…none.
Col. Andrew Wood, who was in charge of a Special Forces anti-terrorism unit, added that one month before the Benghazi attacks, his team had been removed from Libya by the Obama administration, despite numerous warnings of terrorist activity. Then came the fateful order:
“Those individuals I know loaded aircraft and got on their way to Benghazi to respond to that incident. They were not allowed to cross the border as per protocol until they got approval from the commander in chief,” Wood explained. “That authority has to come from him or they’re not allowed to enter the country.”
Attkisson tossed in an important tidbit as well:
“This is something that the president and the White House has steadfastly denied, but there’s now what I would call an overwhelming body of evidence that leads us to believe that somebody stopped a number of teams and potential rescuers from entering Libya or going to Benghazi to help while those attacks were underway.”
“They could have gotten there before the last two Americans died,” Attkisson noted. “Those attacks went on for eight hours.”
Oh, well done, Obama. If this is going to be part of your legacy, it’s a “legacy” better off forgotten by the American people.
