Oh man, the libs are NOT going to like this.
President Donald Trump has come under fire for his controversial executive order on immigration that simply puts a 90 day halt on travelers from seven terror-tied nations entering America, for safety and security reasons.
The left’s been busy painting him as a misogynist, a Muslim hater.
And the mainstream media’s been busy pointing to the utter ridiculousness of Trump’s order, shaking their heads as they titter about terrorism and saying things like, “terrorism? what terrorism?”
Oh, the one that Trump says he will attack with the full force of the American government and military? When he says his administration will destroy Radical Islam once and for all and make this country SAFE again?
Well, in steps White House press secretary Sean Spicer to make another gigantic announcement that will tick off Democrats:
See, Trump’s team was poised to release some real data about terror attacks the mainstream media ignored. So now, Spicer says he wants to “provide a list” of these terror attacks that supposedly don’t exist:
“He felt members of the media don’t always cover some of those events to the extent that other events might get covered,” Spicer said, The Washington Examiner reported. “Protests will get blown out of the water and yet an attack or a foiled attack doesn’t necessarily get the same coverage.“
Well that’s pretty much true.
No Republican, outside of maybe Sen. John McCain (who’s only a Republican at campaign time and a media-whoring Republican In Name Only the rest of his term) ever gets a fair shake in the mainstream media.
It’s in the rules, or something; maybe it’s part of the initiation vow for journalists. I can’t remember. But it’s there: the expectation that if you’re a reporter and you work in mainstream media, that you are taking a lifetime vow to cover Republicans as watchdogs and Democrats as lapdogs.
So Trump’s quite right to feel the heat from the press.
And after eight years of the media nodding and smiling while Barack Obama schooled us all about terrorism – that it most certainly wasn’t an act of Islam, and that radical and Islam were two words that should never, never be placed next to each other in any sentence – it must be a shocking wake-up to the media that this president actually calls a spade a spade and a terrorist a radical Islamist.
That’s why Trump believes in calling ’em as he sees ’em, and as many other Americans see it: Radical Islam IS our enemy.
‘Cause that’s what they generally are … but as Spicer put it: These instances of terror are often “underreported” and now the administration is going to try to rectify that and provide a list.
Well, a list is good. But expecting the mainstream media to refer to it is probably a bit optimistic. The left-leaners in the press have no interest in getting to the bottom of the matter, and reporting the truth of terrorism and its ugly, religious-tied roots.
No, the press in that story sees its role as covering for the beleaguered and belabored – or, as Obama would put it, the Muslims who can never, never be radicalized Islamics because terror’s not tied to any religion.
