Fasten your seatbelts because this ride is gonna get bumpy.
Though Hillary Clinton has been quite calm after her loss to Donald Trump in the U.S. presidential election last month, it seems the whiny so-called warriors in the Clinton Camp haven’t yet surrendered their weapons. In fact, they plan to keep fighting for a while, and they might just use every dirty trick in the leftist playbook.
As we all know, that particular playbook is jam-packed.
Via Politico, in one of the most heated and hostile exchanges between Trump and Clinton strategists yet, Clinton communication director Jennifer Palmieri accused Trump’s campaign of being “a platform for white supremacists” and that the Clinton team “would rather lose than win the way you guys did.”
Yeah, she really said that.
Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway fired back, saying frankly- “Look me in the face and tell me that.” Palmieri simply replied, “I did, Kellyanne. I did.”
The morning after, Conway fired another shot on Fox News, and this one really hit home:
“I think some people are stuck in a permanent campaign and not really past the anger, grief and denial stages and into the acceptance stages. But that’s OK because we won.”
Clinton has a huge network of supporters, however, and they’re going to fight back; allies such as David Brock have been recruiting Democratic donors to fund an anti-Trump movement. They want to launch a Freedom of Information Act against the president-elect and as Brock said:
“We’re going to throw everything at him that he threw at us.”
Donald Trump is the president. For a myriad of reasons, the Democratic party can’t seem to accept this and continue to act like a bunch of put-upon adolescents. This giant tantrum has run its course, hasn’t it? Haven’t they already shot themselves in the foot a dozen times over? Haven’t they only managed to vindicate every accusation leveled against them?
This “my way or the highway” and smug elitist attitude isn’t doing them any favors and now it’s just making them look bad. Really bad.
