The political world is pretty much used to Donald Trump dropping bombshells.
In fact, that state of politicking marked his entire time on the campaign trail. If he wasn’t bombshelling the media, he was taking to Twitter to drop his own brand of bomb, minus the filter and complete in just a few short phrases and hashtags.
So now, it’s not really a shocker to know: Trump just dropped another.
As Mad World News reported, this one came “before many were even awake,” proving once again that Trump is a leader who’s not content to sit behind a desk but rather needs to think and act quickly.
So what’d he do?
“One of Trump’s biggest issues with the way our country was run involved companies leaving the U.S. in droves for cheaper labor outside our borders and taking thousands of jobs with them,” the news blog wrote.
And now, that tendency appears to be coming to a stop, with or without the assistance of Big Business.
“Since he was elected, the stock market has already reached record highs,” Mad World News said, “but not every business is buying into his plan, and for that, he unleashed an epic tweet storm … on what they’ll gace if they continue to stick it to the middle class.”
Among Trump’s plans: Businesses that leave and set up shop outside America’s borders will have to pay substantial taxes, to the tune of 35 percent, and import fees to sell their products back inside the United States.
“The U.S. is going to substantially reduce taxes and regulations on businesses, but any business that leaves our country for another country, fires its employees, builds a new factory or plant in the other country, and then thinks it will sell its product back into the U.S. without retribution or consequence, is WRONG! There will be a tax on our soon to be strong border of 35% for these companies,” he ranted on Twitter, warning that it will be a very expensive mistake for those who leave to try to sell their products back here in the U.S. since they will be taxed to an extent that will make it very difficult for them to profit. The end result? Well, it won’t take long for the business savvy to realize, and adjust.”
The logical choice, then, would be for them to stay in America – where Trump said he was also going to lower taxes for those doing business domestically. Maybe we’ll finally return to a time when American companies can actually survive and flourish in their own country!
