Ever since Donald Trump beat political rival Hillary Clinton to claim the White House, there has been no end of bellyaching on the part of the defeated left.
We’ve seen them protest in the streets (funded by liberal groups), write mean and abusive articles online attacking voters, criticize the elector process, even fake hate crimes to denigrate Trump voters.
The liberal media has tried to invent such a thing as fake news as the cause of Trump’s win, though they can’t prove it. They claim Russia was behind the win, though they can’t prove it. They’ve made up a litany of reasons (none of which they can prove) to explain why the generally distrusted and disliked Hillary Clinton was defeated by the influential businessman and leader.
The latest rumors are that the left are trying to influence the Electoral College to not vote for Trump. This would be wildly illegal, given his decisive win on November 8, not to mention undermine 200 years of democracy.
Rest assured these supposed efforts, just like the rest, will end up failing.
From The Political Insider:
The public relations firm working behind the scenes with the faithless electors is rife with ties to prominent Democrats like President Obama and twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
Megaphone Strategies, whose stated mission is to “use PR as a tool to diversify progressive movements,” typically works with progressive causes like Black Lives Matter. The firm is representing the handful of “faithless electors” trying to keep President-elect Donald Trump from winning the Electoral College vote…
Molly Haigh, Megaphone’s cofounder and president, worked for Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign. Haigh blames the Republican party’s “racist, misogynist, xenophobic fear mongering” for Trump’s rise to power.
Some have claimed that Haigh’s connect with Obama might suggest he’s behind this latest scheme. But given his affirmation to a peaceful transition and working with Trump as he moves into the White House suggests otherwise.
The attempt to manipulate electorates is a sad, pathetic, desperate, and ultimately pointless endeavor. We know Trump won. Even the recounts confirmed it. All this does is prove the left doesn’t care about democracy, freedom, and the rights of all Americans.
Their reaction to Trump’s win will only drive more Americans from their party.
