Finally, a little due regard for the victims and the victims’ families who have suffered at the hands of illegal immigrants.
Horrifying reports like these shouldn’t be tolerated. We should react as a country and solve this problem, because it only got worse under Barack Obama’s far-too-lenient and often questionable thumb.
It’s not just about stopping the influx of illegals; it’s also about dealing with the illegals who are already HERE.
And you know, you can tell it’s a new administration. Because for years, under Barack Obama, all America heard when an illegal committed a crime was, “oh, poor illegal; don’t be too hard on him.”
At least, that was the mantra from the White House.
But now? Different day, different story. Trump already has ICE and other immigration officials arming up to deal with this problem, and rightfully so.
“Press Secretary Sean Spicer announced the development of a new Immigration and Customs Enforcement office focused on helping victims of crimes committed by illegal aliens. The office will also assist family members of victims and is part of President Trump’s recent executive action to bolster enforcement of immigration laws already on the books,” Townhall reported.
It’s called the Victims of Immigration Crime Engagement Office and its mission is pretty much what its title suggests – a department aimed at helping victims, yes the victims, of crimes committed by migrants.
About time, wouldn’t you say?
Now, Trump did say the “dreamers” could stay but he’s definitely not slacking off on his vow to protect this country.
For far too long, the emphasis of U.S. policy has been about helping the illegal. And when said illegal is caught committing a crime, like murder or rape or something equally vicious and violent, justice may or may not have been served.

Take Kate Steinle, for example.
She was the California woman who was gunned down in broad daylight while walking on a pier with her father. Her perpetrator? An illegal who’d been deported several times for his many felony convictions. He was only in the city because it offered sanctuary for illegals.
Where’s Kate’s justice?
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why this new White House office is so worthwhile.
Not only does it provide some real assistance for the victims of egregious crimes committed by those who shouldn’t be in the country in the first place, it also sends America a message that’s been lacking for a long time:
American citizens come first.
