President-elect Donald Trump made it clear on the campaign trail that he would put a stop to the attacks on Christianity he saw taking place around the country.
And here it is, Christmas season – and out come the atheists and leftists to publicly denounce about any public expression of Jesus Christ, the real reason for the season, and pull displays of Nativity scenes wherever and whenever they can.
It’s a form of political correctness gone wild, and it’s just the type Trump promised to abolish on the campaign trail.
Well, hearken here, lovers of the true Christmas meaning. As one of Trump’s former aides said in a recent tweet, the end of the PC season is coming.
Corey Lewandowski, one of Trump’s former leading advisers, said in a Twitter post picked up by the Political Insider: “You can say again, ‘Merry Christmas,’ because Donald Trump is now the president.”
What a packed and powerful message, because under President Obama, the state of the nation was this, particularly in the public school systems: No Christmas carols that mention Jesus; but special accommodations for Muslims quite OK.
Trump, on a local radio show, made clear he was serious about stopping the attacks on Christianity.
“Trump told Yellowhammer Radio, ‘I go out of my way to use the word ‘Christmas.’ And argued, ‘There’s an assault on anything have to do with Christianity,'” the Political Insider reported. “They don’t want to use the word ‘Christmas’ anymore at department stores. There’s always lawsuits and unfortunately a lot of those lawsuits are won by the other side.”
Well, get ready for the insanity to stop, he said.
From Political Insider, once again: “As president, Trump vowed, ‘I will assault that. I will go so strongly against so many of the things, when they take away the word Christmas.'”
What can you say to that?
How about this: Merry Christmas, Donald Trump. Merry, merry Christmas.
