President Donald Trump’s first week is over.
And it was a week for the freakin’ history books.
Executive orders stunned Democrats and the hypocritical liberal contingent, and Trump continued to drive home the point of his “Make America Great Again” campaign promise. It was a flat-out sprint and the best part is, our commander-in-chief isn’t about to slow down.
His latest order was another massive assault on illegal immigration and Americans continue to cheer when Trump stands up for THE PEOPLE.
And in his first weekly address, the President confirmed that his administration had “hit the ground running” and reminded us that yes, he’s making good on all his promises. He’s wasting zero time in that respect.
As summarized by The Washington Times, Trump says they’re “doing it with speed and we are doing it with intelligence and we will never, ever stop fighting on behalf of the American people.”
A few of the highlights he touched on:
“My message was clear: we want to make things in America, and we want to use American workers.”
— Canceled pending regulations related to Obamacare in anticipation of repeal of the law
— Withdrew the U.S. from the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal
— Revived the Keystone XL and Dakota Access oil pipeline projects nixed by the Obama administration, additionally requiring pipelines to be built with American-made steel and manufactured in the U.S.
— Ordered construction of a border wall and to crack down on “sanctuary cities” for illegal immigrants
Yes indeed, he has done quite a bit in his first week, hasn’t he? This is what the leader of a country does; this is how he resurrects a once-great nation; this is how he truly unifies a people and gets them all heading in the right direction.
And Trump’s final message:
“Every day, we are fulfilling the promise we made to the American people.”
Yes you are, Mr. President. And The People can’t thank you enough.
