This is always a fun game to play for Conservatives:
Take all the negative things a Democrat has said or done and list it on a board. Then you replace the Democrat’s name with a Republican’s name and show it to a Liberal.
While their eyes are melting out of their skulls, you reveal that all the things on that list are actually a Democrat’s handiwork.
You can also reverse the game. Example: President Donald Trump and Barack Obama issued similar immigration bans (a fact liberals just loathe), and one resurrected an Obama ban list from 2015 called the Visa Waiver Program Improvement and Terrorist Travel Prevention Act.
That’s right, Trump’s ban on refugees follows a path already carved out by Obama himself.
The media, of course, refuses to buy this premise (facts be damned!) Instead, they’re focusing on the extreme sensationalist headlines that say that Trump is a Nazi-like authoritarian who is taking away the rights of all people to come into this country.
Further, he is not fit to be Commander-in-Chief because he has no tact when it comes to dealing with foreign leaders!
“The King of Saudi Arabia and the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi agreed with President Donald Trump’s request to support safe zones for refugees in the Middle East, the White House announced Sunday.
A White House readout of the call between President Trump and Saudi Arabian King Salman bin Abd Al-Aziz Al Saud said that the King agreed to ‘support safe zones in Syria and Yemen, as well as supporting other ideas to help the many refugees who are displaced by the ongoing conflicts.’
The readout of the call between Trump and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Muhammad bin Zayid Al Nuhayyan of the United Arab Emirates was less specific but shared the same sentiment. ‘The President also raised the idea of supporting safe zones for the refugees displaced by the conflict in the region, and the Crown Prince agreed to support this initiative,’ the White House said.”
This is certainly not a complete answer to the problem, but it does show that not only can Trump deal with foreign leaders, but he can also keep the refugee problem at bay temporarily while attempting to vet these many thousands of individuals.
Additionally, he has got to be given props for the fact that these refugees will not have to travel half-way across the world in order to find solace, peace and a somewhat familiar setting that will put them at ease.
Obama, on the other hand, just decided to increase immigration in the U.S. and even target red states with these immigrants from God knows where.
Trump, on the other hand, and has brokered an imperfect deal to help with their dire circumstances at this time. Hopefully, over the next few months, better answers will arrive and cooler heads (on the Left) will prevail.
