President Donald Trump has been dismantling the Barack Obama “legacy,” piece by piece.
That’s a good thing, by the way.
The Obama “legacy” – notice how we keep putting that word in quotation marks? – consists of nothing more than scandal after scandal, and thankfully, the Supreme Court has Obama in their crosshairs.
This is why we needed a president who would erase what our former commander-in-chief did; we needed a leader who would set this country on the correct path.
From the start of Trump’s presidency, this has included slashing government regulations, creating more jobs in the good ol’ US of A, and battling bloated agencies that have been draining taxpayers for FAR too long.
And the last time Trump inked an executive order involving the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), liberals everywhere had a series of EPIC meltdowns. It was sort of spectacular, actually.
Well, he just did it again. And all we can say is, HOORAY!
Via Western Journalism:
“President Donald Trump kept one of his main campaign promises Tuesday as he issued an executive order rolling back the climate change policies adopted by his predecessor.
‘My administration is putting an end to the war on coal,’ Trump said during a signing ceremony at the offices of the Environmental Protection Agency, where he was flanked by a contingent of coal miners.
‘With today’s executive action, I am taking historic steps to lift the restrictions on American energy, to reverse government intrusion and to cancel job-killing regulations.‘”
Trump added that the order was “the start of a new era of American energy production” and that it would “restore economic freedom and allow our workers to thrive compete and succeed on a level playing field for the first time in a long time.”
Of course, this probably isn’t setting well with Obama.
Thing is, this new move suspends numerous measures enacted by our previous president, which includes the Clean Power Plan. The order also reverses a ban on coal leasing on federal lands and eradicates rules to curb methane emissions from oil and gas production.
Said Robert E. Murray, a chief executive of Murray Energy, one of this country’s largest coal mining companies:
“These actions are vital to the American coal industry, to our survival, and to getting some of our coal families back to work.”
Yep, sounds like it’s onwards and upwards for America! Goes along nicely with that $25 BILLION injection the U.S. economy just received, doesn’t it?
…but gee, Barack, that’s too bad about your legacy taking another huge hit, huh?
