Oh, Christ, please be quiet. No, better yet: Just shut up.
It really can’t be said nicer than that. There’s a certain left-of-left documentary-maker out there – the guy the Hollywood types love to embrace as a politically astute and bold figure, despite his propaganda tone and type of reporting – and he has just gone off the deep end, even for him.
He opened his mouth, and out came – ridiculousness. Ridiculousness might be a tame term for it, actually.
And it happened, to no small surprise, on MSNBC (via The Right Scoop):
“Moore argues that President-elect Donald Trump ‘has no right’ to enter the White House.”
Oh yes he did.
He also called for those in the nation to protest and obstruct Trump’s entrance to his new office.
“I mean,” Moore said, Breitbart reported, “the man has no right to enter that house. There are too many questions about the – whatever collusion was going on.”
Moore then spoke of the Trump campaign’s supposed contact with Russia as if that were proof positive Vladimir Putin parlayed the election into the billionaire’s camp. And despite zero evidence, and zero facts, he suggested the whole election process had been rigged.
“So we would need to know as Americans what the hell was going on there,” Moore said, Breitbart reported. “And he does not have a mandate. He does not have a mandate.”
This guy is serious. That’s the really scary part. Due process obviously isn’t something he supports and yet, he clearly supports the people’s right to protest due process. There’s more blatant hypocrisy in there somewhere and frankly, it isn’t too hard to find.
