The immigration debate just exploded.
Okay, so it has been exploding in recent weeks, what with the shocking news that illegal immigrants received BILLIONS in assistance during Obama’s administration.
And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
Democrats and judges all over the country have been trying to stop President Donald Trump’s so-called “travel ban” and though Trump earned a monumental victory last week, the battle still rages.
And the latest move is bound to incite more protests, riots, and generally bad behavior from the “tolerant, peace-loving” leftists. Yeah, it’s not really funny anymore…it’s just plain sad.
Anyway, according to a new Fox News report, two Republican senators announced legislation on Tuesday that would “effectively cut legal immigration in half.” Yes, legal immigration; not illegal, which is a separate issue, of course.
But in terms of people coming into this country, it’s just plain huge.
The bill was presented by Senators Tom Cotton, Arkansas and David Perdue, Georgia, and would “reduce the number of green cards issued annually from 1 million to 500,000.
“‘The net effect is to cut American immigration in half,’ Cotton told Fox News’ ‘Fox & Friends.’”
Thus far, Tump has mostly focused on illegal immigration; specifically, dangerous illegals from mostly Muslim countries. Everyone seems to have a problem with this, despite the fact that a Swedish detective just dropped a HUGE truth bomb…
As for the bill in question, Cotton argues that legal immigration also impacts American workers:
“Right now, we have a legal immigration system that’s not working for American workers. Blue-collar workers, people working with their hands, on their feet, have seen their wages stagnate for decades.”
Cotton added that there has been a lot of pressure on blue-collar wages and if the bill is signed into law, it could really help our laborers. Added Perdue:
“We are taking action to fix some of the shortcomings in our legal immigration system. Returning to our historically normal levels of legal immigration will help improve the quality of American jobs and wages.”
Damn good idea.
And when it comes to the controversial illegal immigration plan of Trump’s, we believe vice president Mike Pence when he said the war will soon be over…and the right will be on the RIGHT side.
