Some Conservatives thought Donald Trump would be entering the Washington D.C. swamp like a bull in a china shop, fixing everything in the twinkling of an eye.
People with half a brain understood, though, that the job he was attempting to do was rife with pitfalls, booby traps, and obstacles…and that was just from the Republican Establishment side.
When Trump announced that he would be building a Border Wall, many were skeptical; and for good reason.
The Wall was one of those pipe dreams that the Republicans have had for decades. Many never really thought it would happen.
With the amount of Democrat voters pouring over the border everyday, they realized it was going to be a struggle. But our President isn’t a man who shies away from a challenge.
“Acting Border Patrol Chief Carla Provost testified in a congressional appropriations hearing Tuesday that border wall construction will likely begin in March or April 2018.
The Trump administration’s budget request for Fiscal Year 2018 includes $1.6 billion to go towards border wall construction. This funds 60 miles of new border walling, and would replace 14 miles of existing fencing.
Provost told the House Committee on Appropriations that a priority for the Border Patrol is fixing insufficient fencing in San Diego that has been used by ‘transnational criminal organizations.’
The federal government is currently in the prototype stage of building the southern border wall President Trump ordered to be constructed.”
With his first 100 days in office come and gone, and with all of his accomplishments thus far, President Trump is on pace to be one of these most prolific and effective presidents in our lifetime; a far cry from the last Commander-In-Chief.
Should he get this Wall constructed, he will go down in the history books as one of the greatest. Wouldn’t you agree?
