We’ve reached a crazy point where it can be impossible to determine if a news story is fake or not.
People are saying and doing such crazy things you’d think that it has to be satire, but unfortunately that isn’t always the case.
It’s pretty darn scary, too.
In the West, we have the Left to thank for the lunacy infecting our societies, which is why our headlines today sound like depressing comedy.
Just click on over to the Washington Post or Huffington Post to see what I’m talking about. The headlines and comment sections are filled with garbage that’s completely detached from reality.
In short, there’s nothing in this world leftists won’t attack if it’ll get them good-boy points or help them accumulate power.
Conservatives know this all too well with the assault on Christmas and the all-out war being waged on the family and our kids right now.
The worst part? The Left is only getting started with their fundamental transformation of our societies.
As reported at the Independent Journal Review, some whack-jobs in Australia are now waging a war on Father’s Day, saying that the name should be changed as not to offend those who don’t have a father.
The leader of this movement, a nutcase literally named Red Ruby Scarlet, who happens to have a PhD in early childhood studies, wants to rename the holiday to “Special Person’s Day.”
You can’t make this stuff up. It’s like a never-ending nightmare we’re living in.
During an interview with Adelaide’s “Today Tonight” TV news show, Scarlet was asked if “Special Persons’ Day” was just for children without dads.
“There are children who have a dad, who also have a grandfather, and also have an auntie and also have other kinds of relatives.
There are also a huge range of different family structures. So we have single-parent families, satellite families, extended families, lesbian and gay families.”
Hey Scarlet, what about Mother’s Day?
Do you have a problem with 2 father families, you bigot?
According to “Today Tonight,” Scarlet’s strange dream is more than just that, as it’s already spreading across Australia, with schools being the primary culprits implementing the change.
In response to folks calling this idea political correctness gone mad, Scarlet replied:
“Why are we calling this political correctness when in fact it’s about our rights?”
What is she even talking about? Our rights? What does that even mean? This is a holiday that celebrates dads, period. It has nothing to do with rights.
To back up her sentiment, she claimed that, you know, there’s a lot of research that proves her idea is awesome.
“There’s a lot of Australian research that has actually informed a lot of international research … that has demonstrated children’s capacity to be really inclusive, once they know about these ideas.
And they think, ‘Wow, why are people seeing this as a controversy?’”
In a different, better time, this woman would have been escorted from her interview directly to a mental institution for rehabilitation.
Instead, in the current year, she gets to spout her nonsense on television and on campus. What a truly progressive and open-minded era we’re living in…
