ISIS must be destroyed.
This was President Donald Trump’s rallying cry from the very beginning and he has constructed a team that will heed the call.
General James “Mad Dog” Mattis has already proven his dedication and aggressiveness, which Patriots definitely appreciate.
It has become readily apparent to America and the rest of the world that Radical Islam will not stop until it is beaten; there is no talking or negotiating with terrorists, and there never will be.
Thankfully, Defense Secretary Mattis understands this perfectly. He certainly understands it better than former president Barack Obama.
In speaking to John Dickerson on “Face the Nation,” Mattis outlined the administration’s plan of attack against the Islamic State, and let’s just say there’s nothing wishy-washy or ambiguous about the message.
Via Conservative Tribune:
“Our strategy right now is to accelerate the campaign against ISIS. It is a threat to all civilized nations.
And the bottom line is, we are going to move in an accelerated and reinforced manner, throw them on their back foot.
“We have already shifted from attrition tactics where we shove them from one position to another in Iraq and Syria, to annihilation tactics where we surround them.”
Mattis used western Mosul as an example, as it is currently surrounded by the Iraqi security force, which is an example of the “final push” that will be needed to break the back of ISIS.
“Tal Afar is now surrounded. We have got efforts underway right now to surround their self-declared caliphate capital of Raqqa.
That surrounding operation is going on. And once surrounded, then we’ll go in and clean them out.”
Mattis and Trump have been working together since the inauguration to cleanse the world of this voracious evil, and they won’t stop until their mission is complete.
And what did Obama do during his 8 years?
Essentially, he let the problem fester and grow much, much worse. And with the Manchester bombing and the Ramadan slaughter of 29 Christians fresh in our minds, we all know what must be done.
