Muslim Terrorist Killed U.S. Soldier, Now He’s Getting Millions Of Dollars And An Apology

While the US has been lurching to the Left for some time, our frosty neighbors up north are even further down the path.

Canada prides itself for being a more “progressive” and “tolerant” nation than the US, but this isn’t something they should be bragging about.

Their nation is suffocating under the grip of political correctness, and one of the unfortunate side effects has been their complete submission to all things Islam.

Protecting the poor Muslims is a big deal, which is why they’ve been very busy importing them. Not only that, it seems that if you’re a Muslim in Canada, you get all sorts of special privileges, even if you’re a terrorist.

As reported at Fox News, the Canadian government will apologize and give millions to a former Guantanamo Bay prisoner who pled guilty to killing a US soldier in Afghanistan when he was 15.

That’s what the Canadians are known for, always apologizing and letting everyone else have their way so as not to offend.

Terrorist Omar Khadr was 15 when he was captured by US troops following a battle at an al-Qaeda compound in Afghanistan. This firefight resulted in the death of US Special Forces medic, US Army Sgt. First Class Christopher Speer.

Khadr was suspected of throwing the grenade that killed Speer, and was taken to Guantanamo and ultimately charged with war crimes by a military commission.

The Canadian-born Khadr pled guilty in 2010 to charges that included murder and was sentenced to a measly eight years plus the time he had already spent in prison.

After 2 years in the US, he was transferred to Canada where he was supposed to serve out the remainder of his sentence. However, he was released in May 2015 while appealing his former guilty plea, which he and his lawyers claim was made under duress, making it invalid.

In 2010, the Canadian Supreme Court ruled the nation’s intelligence services had obtained evidence Khadr suffered under “oppressive circumstances” like sleep deprivation while being held and interrogated in Guantanamo.

From this “evidence,” Khadr’s lawyers filed a wrongful imprisonment lawsuit for $20 million against the Canadian government.

Their claim is that international law was violated by Canada by not protecting its own citizen from such treatment and for colluding with the US in abusing Khadr.

The Canadian government will now hand over $8 million to settle the lawsuit.

Talk about quite the happy ending for Khadr. Must be nice to be able to get away with murder and then get the government to throw millions at you and say they’re sorry.

There’s no question that he’d still be in jail if he was anything other than a Muslim. This proves once again just how privileged Muslims are in the West, and just how eager leftists are to submit to Islam.
