The national debt is always a big number. But THIS big?
We knew President Obama spent a lot of money while in White House but this is just out of control.
Yes. Even Democrats probably wouldn’t dare suggest the deficit didn’t rise under Obama. But they might to weasel out of admitting just how much Obama spent; just how high the deficit has risen under the progressive-socialist policies of his White House administration.
Well the numbers have been tallied and they’re a bit dim, to put it mildly. Americans everywhere are getting an increasingly grim image of Obama’s presidency and such statistics are only going to fuel public rage.
“Obama added an additional $7.917 trillion to America’s national debt, which amounts to a 68 percent increase from the $11.657 trillion debt level President George W. Bush accrued by the end of his presidency.”
Did you catch that – an increase of 68 percent?
That’s huge. No, mammoth. No, gargantuan.
When Bush took over the White House, the national debt level was $5.8 trillion. Bush added another $5.849 trillion; an outrageous figure in itself. But Obama did his part, too. When Obama took over, the national debt stood at $11.657 trillion and now…
And as high as that was, it looks small compared to now, after nearly eight years of Obama’s leadership. What’s worse is that Obama rode into office on a wave of criticism against Bush’s spending.
As Breitbart noted:
“While he was running for president, Obama criticized President Bush’s deficit spending, calling it ‘irresponsible’ and ‘unpatriotic.'”
Now, nearly $8 trillion later, Obama isn’t so critical, it seems. Small surprise.
