“I vow that my administration will be the most transparent in the history of the United States.”
You remember that vow, don’t you? A vow that the Obama administration said was true nearly a decade later, even when it was questioned by authorities from every quarter, over and over.
Except, Obama clearly spent a lot of time and money trying to cover his tracks. Isn’t that the opposite of transparency?
I mean, I’m sure he meant to tell everyone on Facebook that Obamacare information was being manipulated by paid flunkies. Transparency, right?
And speaking of Obamacare, remember Nancy Pelosi saying, “We’ll just have to pass it so we can see what’s in it”? Well, sure…transparency.
Or how about the “Fast & Furious Gun-Running Operation to Mexico gone wrong? Transparency.
Ransom Payments to Iran? Transparency.
And as for the word “Transparency” that the Left seems to really enjoy saying, to quote Mandy Patinkin in the Princess Bride:
“You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means…”
“For eight years, we were forced to tolerate Obie and his incessant lying and trickery.
While listening to his repeated “ums” and “uhs” yet talking heads proclaimed his brilliance at every opportunity. Sorry, I’m digressing again. Ahem.
From lies about unemployment, to lies about healthcare costs Barry-O has earned a place in the record books as the World’s Biggest Liar Who Would Be King. Replaced by a tycoon with the skin complexion of a carrot.
One of his biggest lies, though? Promising the most “transparency” of any president.
The Obama administration in its final year in office spent a record $36.2 million on legal costs defending its refusal to turn over federal records under the Freedom of Information Act, according to an Associated Press analysis of new U.S. data that also showed poor performance in other categories measuring transparency in government.
For a second consecutive year, the Obama administration set a record for times federal employees told citizens, journalists and others that despite searching they couldn’t find a single page of files that were requested.
And it set records for outright denial of access to files, refusing to quickly consider requests described as especially newsworthy, and forcing people to pay for records who had asked the government to waive search and copy fees.”
All this, on top of the ongoing Judicial Watch investigation into Obama’s misappropriated taxpayer funds. Oh yes, very, very “transparent.”
Okay, so let’s be clear: The Party of the Jackass honestly thinks the word “Transparency” means “Hiding everything at any cost.” Just wanted to be thorough.
$36M to be deceitful. Hillary Clinton did it for far less. No wonder he said that she was far more qualified than even the Anointed himself.
