If there’s one group in this country that’s fair game to tar and feather without consequence, it’s Christians.
Even though a majority of the nation self-identifies as Christian, you’d never know that by how people act when the topic of the religion comes up or when they see someone clearly acting based upon their faith.
It’s a very sad development, to see people act uncomfortable and be afraid to admit they’re a person of faith, even though so many supposedly share similar views.
And this is all thanks to the leftist crusade against Christianity, as they’ve been at war with believers for decades.
There are many subtle and not-so-subtle ways they’ve undermined our culture and turned folks against us.
Then there’s the constant war against anyone who professes to love this country; liberals call all patriots “bigots” and “Nazis,” after all.
As reported at the Conservative Tribune, four years ago, some left-wing clown complained to Dairy Queen store owner Kevin Scheunemann about the Christian music that was playing in the background of the restaurant.
Rather than bow to the scumbag’s petty complaint, Kevin decided to put a notice on the door of his store, letting liberal snowflakes know that in his restaurant, they won’t find a safe space inundated with political correctness.
The sign read, in part:
“This restaurant is politically incorrect. We have been known to say ‘Merry Christmas,’ ‘Happy Easter’ and ‘God Bless America.’”
The sign also offers up thanks to police officers and firefighters, as well as free sundaes for military veterans on Veterans Day.
Hilariously, the last part of the sign reads:
“If this offends you, you are welcome to contact the owner … and arrange a designated ‘snowflake safe space’ a minimum 24 hours in advance.”
It closed out with large, bold letters that declared, “In God We Trust.”
The sign’s been posted for a while, but it was once again brought to attention recently by some tool from Oregon, who took to Facebook to voice their displeasure over the sign.
In the post, which has since been removed, the writer claimed “I find this extremely offensive,” and demanded DQ’s corporate headquarters “Please speak with the franchise owner.”
But according to WDJT, Scheunemann has no intentions of changing the sign, nor do his regular customers have any issues with it. The vast majority are in agreement with the sentiments it puts forward.
“I felt the sign was appropriate to hang in terms of being transparent about the views of the owner and staff supporting God and country,” Scheunemann told the station.
“It just seems that those kinds of values and principles are becoming controversial in society.”
That view was shared by local bar owner April Serwe, who told WDJT. “He posted it on the door so you see it before you walk in. You don’t have to walk in if you don’t agree with it.”
A statement released by the DQ company makes it clear that headquarters doesn’t endorse Scheunemann’s sign, but reiterates that franchise owners have the freedom to run their stores as they see fit.
“American Dairy Queen Corporation does not encourage our independently owned and operated franchisees to post non-business related messages in their locations or on their external reader boards,” the statement read.
“This sign expresses the views of this independent owner only and does not speak for ADQ Corporation or any of our other independent franchise owners.
STORY CONTINUES BELOW…
We expect our franchisees and employees to treat every person who walks through our doors with the utmost dignity and respect. Nothing less is acceptable.”
What kind of person takes offense to such an innocuous sign? It’s not like anyone forces these liberals to eat there, so what’s the problem?
The problem is that they’re shocked, SHOCKED, that there are still people unbent and unbroken by their constant assaults.
They just can’t believe that people think differently than them, so when they encounter this seemingly different species, they lash out and throw tantrums, demanding these differing folks and their beliefs be eradicated.
That’s leftism in a nutshell: Forced conformity and destruction of freedom of thought and action.
But no amount of Hollywood and media propaganda, nor government force, is going to break the will of conservative Christians, or at least, it shouldn’t.
