Republican Knows How To Pay For Trump’s Wall – This Genius Plan Is Worth Billions

Trump’s campaign promise to build a wall between the US and Mexico was probably the most popular one he made.

Chants of “Build that wall!” routinely rang out during rallies and the president eagerly encouraged them throughout the campaign.

Since taking office, however, the wall-building momentum seems to have died out a little, as weak-kneed Republicans and subversive Democrats are balking at the price tag and the idea altogether.

But there are still a few immigration hawks trying to find funding for the project, so Republicans will no longer have an excuse to oppose it.

As reported at Fox News, Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) argued Wednesday that Congress should build President Trump’s border wall by taking money from Planned Parenthood and federal food stamps, a proposition that conservatives are sure to support.

While talking on CNN, King said he supports the meager $1.6 billion in funding that the House is considering as a start for building the wall.

But he said that if he gets his way, he’ll have another $500 million coming down the pipeline.

And I would find half of a billion dollars of that right out of Planned Parenthood’s budget,” he said.

And the rest of it could come out of food stamps and the entitlements that are being spread out for people that haven’t worked in three generations.”

We’ve got to put America back to work, this administration will do it,” he said.

The CNN host interviewing King looked aghast at the proposition and immediately challenged the idea, claiming that many food stamp recipients suffer from malnutrition.

King didn’t take the bait, however, as he quickly pointed out that far too many food stamp users are seriously overweight.

Now we have a problem of obesity,” he said. “And when you match up the EBT card with what the scales say on some of the folks, I think it’s worth looking at.

Michelle Obama looked at it, Republicans should be able to look at it too.”

The reality is that obesity is a problem faced by the poor, as they have less access to healthier food, since it’s more expensive. So the host’s claim that food stamps users are starving is bogus.

King also mentioned how building the wall would create millions of new jobs, which in turn would create new tax revenue and also better protect the nation from the costly scourge of illegal immigration. So it’s a win/win all around.

We will create the kind of security that would bring about 10 million new jobs in America just by enforcing immigration law,” King said.

King laid out a solid case for the creation of the wall. It’s something the public supports and that will directly and indirectly provide all sorts of benefits.

Add in the possibility of using funds that would otherwise be used to kill babies and wasted on entitlement programs, and it’s a no-brainer for Republicans to get behind the plan.
