The mainstream media continues to embarrass itself.
Oh yeah, and let’s not forget that CNN was just named the least trusted news outlet in the country. Now, one would assume that given this mess, the journalists in question would react; maybe repent and change their ways and all that. That would be the logical course of action, as the press is supposed to serve the people and the people have, obviously, spoken.
Rather, we’ll just keep spreading liberal propaganda and further indict ourselves. Case in point: In a recent Washington Post editorial, Richard Cohen talks about impeaching President-elect Donald Trump before he even takes office.
Yes, it’s an op-ed; it isn’t news and hence, he’s allowed to have an opinion. But here’s the first question: Would the Post, or any major news source, have run a similar editorial when Barack Obama was elected in 2009? The answer, of course, is no. Anyone who even suggested it in the office likely would’ve been branded a racist and fired on the spot.
But with Trump, there are no rules. Supposedly accomplished journalists can write an article entitled, “How To Remove Trump From Office” and begin it with:
“Donald Trump is a one-man basket of deplorables. He is a braggart and a liar. He is a bully and a demagogue. He is an ignoramus and a deadbeat, a chiseler and either a sincere racist or an insincere one, and his love for himself is matched only by my loathing of him. He is about to be president of the United States. A constitutional coup may be in the offing.”
You can’t even make a pretense at respecting the office of the presidency, can you? Your reaction to an unfavorable election result is that of a petulant fourth-grader on the playground; you name-call and think about ways to “get him back.” Apparently, Cohen thinks the 25th Amendment has offered other grossly immature Democrats and Liberals a way out:
“Under the 25th Amendment to the Constitution, the vice president, together with a “majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide” can remove the president for being ‘unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office.’ No doubt the mere mention of incapacitation would summon a horde of lawyers to Washington to contest it or the meaning of every term.
But it is plain that the 25th Amendment does give a role to Cabinet members that is not generally considered when they are up for confirmation. This time, however, they should all be asked whether they are aware of the 25th Amendment and, if need be, whether they would be willing to implement it.”
Just as a reminder, Donald Trump isn’t even in the Oval Office yet. As another reminder, he has already done more for the U.S. economy than Obama did in the past eight years; in stark contrast, we only went backward with the anti-business, anti-America administration, while Trump is already pressing forward.
And yet, this is the filth we have to read. Conservatives still have to go elsewhere to find accurate news and reports because they know they can no longer trust the heavily, heavily biased mainstream media.
Democrats, if you want to know why you lost, read Cohen’s disgraceful slop. Understand the clear double standard and hyopcrisy: Not only does the mainstream press continue to behave in this fashion, it’s clearly encouraged. Hell, it wouldn’t even have been ALLOWED after Obama won and we all know why.
Well, just keep whining away, Lefties. You’ve brought about your own destruction and as Rush Limbaugh said, if there was a pile of sh** in front of you, you’d step right into it.
