Don’t believe it, do you? Seems too absurd, even for liberals who have officially gone off the deep end?
What if I told you that there’s a DMV in Baltimore that has banned the songs “White Christmas” and “I’ll Be Home For Christmas”? You’d probably say, “Well, yeah, sure…I mean, they’re all Christmas songs and it’s a government office and, you know, separation of church and State…”
Okay, but what if I told you that of the songs was banned because the word “white” in the title carries a racist connotations?
This is just as sick, a true story ripped from the holiday headlines:
The principal of East Hampton High School in Connecticut has officially banned the school chant that’s performed at sporting events because of its racist overtones. The chant has been in effect for many years, but has finally succumbed to the pressures of a global society. What is the chant? “Blue and white!”
Yes, it’s true. No, seriously.
The chant has now been banned so that delicate sensitivities will not be affected any longer by white supremacists who apparently are running rampant in Connecticut schools. A quick glimpse at the school website says it all: “Welcome to East Hampton Public Schools…Preparing and inspiring students to be innovative, responsible, contributing members of an ever-changing global society.”
From Louder With Crowder:
“Given the current social climate across our country, our use of the ‘white’ cheer is under suspension,” he wrote in a notice ahead of the winter sports season. “Please show your pride in our town and in our school through other means when cheering on our teams.”
Some of the comments on the school’s Facebook page are critical of the new policy as well. On December 19th, Dave Schmidt wrote: “We Say Blue, But Don’t Say White’-“ and yesterday, Janet Luce posted: “Blue and #WHITE !!!!”
Apparently, not everyone in Connecticut is a hardcore Liberal. And furthermore, at least a few people in that state still have functioning brains. Let’s hope they prevail because this is just…beyond insanity.
