The media is up in arms over Trump’s speech in front of the Boy Scouts of America.
That they would pretend to be outraged is particularly funny considering the war the Left has been waging against the Boy Scouts over the years.
Forcing them to accept gay troop leaders, trannies, and even girls into their ranks, and doing everything possible to eradicate the traditionalism associated with the group.
But it’s Trump we’re talking about, so any time there’s an opportunity to smear him, they’re going to take it.
The Left claims Trump got overly political when speaking at a Boy Scout Jamboree, which again, is amusing seeing how liberals make every issue, no matter how small, into political ones all the damn time.
However, even though the speech is being blasted by many, one particular moment highlighted the group’s dislike of our former president’s leadership.
As reported at the Independent Journal Review, speaking to thousands of Boy Scouts at the 2017 National Scout Jamboree on Monday, President Donald Trump asked the crowd a very political and humorous question:
“By the way, just a question: Did President Obama ever come to a Jamboree?” Trump asked.
The crowd immediately erupted into a chorus of boos and shouts of “NO!”
On stage with the president were Energy Secretary Rick Perry, Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke, and Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price, all of whom laughed at the president’s dig at Obama.
“And we’ll be back,” Trump finally said. “The answer’s no, but we’ll be back.”
Trump didn’t only use his time to poke fun at Obama, he also provided the attendees with some solid advice.
“You can do anything. You can be anything you want to be,” he said.
“But in order to succeed, you must find out what you love to do. You have to find your passion, no matter what they tell you.”
No matter what side of the aisle you’re on, that’s something we can all agree on. The Boy Scouts try very hard to be a non-partisan group, which they’ve made clear in light of the backlash against Trump’s speech.
But historically, the group is deeply associated with traditional values, something that’s under assault these days. The Boy Scouts are one of the few flickering lights in the ever-spreading left-wing darkness.
Here’s to hoping the group sticks to its founding principles and refuses to cave to the pressure of insane leftist zealotry.
