Donald, we need that wall SOON.
By now, we all know how welcoming the Obama administration has been for refugees from mostly Muslim nations, and how the White House has opened borders wide to those seeking to come onto U.S. soil without going the traditional and comparatively tougher legal immigration route.
But just in case there are a few who say Obama hasn’t really been all that welcoming of refugees; well, the numbers are in. And it’s just as conservatives say.
Obama’s pretty much cleared the border obstacles for those claiming refugee status. And it’s just sickening:
“The Obama administration has accepted 25,584 refugees into the United States in the two months and 26 days since FY 2017 began on October 1, according to the Department of State interactive website. That number is nearly double the 13,791 refugees accepted during the comparable period between October 1, 2015 and December 26, 2015 of the prior fiscal year (FY 2016).”
The number also bests the previous high held by the Obama administration, from 2013, when 18,228 refugees were welcomed with open arms from the time period of October 1, 2012, through December 26, 2012.
By all accounts, Obama seems to be trying to usher in as many refugees as possible before the Donald Trump administration takes over and enacts, as the president-elect promised, tough border controls that include walk-backs of the open arm embrace of those from other nations claiming flight status.
Specifically, Trump vowed to put a pause on refugees from Syria in particular, at least until law enforcement and security authorities could get a handle on whether this population of refugees was proving a terror danger to American citizens.
Meanwhile, Obama’s doing all he can to stymie Trump’s promises.
“The Obama administration continues to accelerate the resettlement of refugees from countries that the new administration is likely to place on the “pause” list: Syria and Somalia. Since October 1, 3,542 refugees have been resettled in the United States from Syria, an annualized rate of more than 14,000, an increase from the 12,500 resettled in FY 2016.”
And where are all these refugees settling in the United States?
Well, not in or near the Obama family home.
“The Obama administration has continued to place the greatest number of Syrian refugees in Michigan,” Breitbart said. “Three-hundred-and eighty-nine Syrian refugees have been resettled in Michigan since October 1, more than in any other state in the country.”
